The Bachelor of Science in 工程物理 program at 新葡京娱乐城 combines a deep understanding of science fundamentals with the practical knowledge and skills of engineering practice and 设计.
In addition to the undergraduate courses that form any solid physics curriculum, students take pre-engineering and engineering courses physics majors at other universities would not normally take. Some of these courses include engineering science, 设计, 系统, summer field session and a capstone senior 设计 sequence culminating in a senior thesis. This unique approach to the study of physics prepares graduates to work at the intersection of science and technology, where new discoveries are being put into practice.

Dr. 林肯卡尔
Dr. 林肯卡尔 serves as a Professor in the 物理 department at Mines. With a PhD from University of Washington, Dr. Carr brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our department. His research interests include complexity theory, 量子物理学, theoretical condensed matter physics and more.
The recipient of numerous honors and awards, Dr. Carr has received the NSF Career Award and has been honored as a Distinguished International Fellow of the NSF and as a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences. He’s honored to mentor an intense, active and diverse research group at Mines.

I’ve also been involved in the Acts of Random Kindness society, which is a student-run club devoted to making everyone’s day just a little happier.
